Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team in Newport, NC. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems to support continuous production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical controls, motors, and automation, with a hands-on approach and the ability to read diagrams and manuals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Proven experience with electrical troubleshooting, motors, and automation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends/holidays if required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical and mechanical systems to identify and fix faults before they cause breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues including electrical controls, motors, and automation systems.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement new electrical and mechanical systems.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Document maintenance and repair work for future reference and reporting purposes.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians to enhance their technical skills.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices.
