Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to oversee contractors on site for Petrochemical, refinery, or similar plant construction projects. The role requires a proven track record in electrical project management, scheduling, cost control, and safety leadership, with the ability to work closely with clients, engineering teams, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction in related industry.
• Bachelors’ Degree or related electrical experience.
• Excellent written, verbal and analytic skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Understanding of contract documents, specifications, project plans, and all other project related documents.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Ability to multi-task and identify priority activities.
• Basic knowledge of construction estimation and financial documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day project activities within the Electrical scope and resources to ensure projects proceed on schedule and within budget.
• Understand electrical project management principles, methods and techniques.
• Collaborate with site Safety leadership to develop a proactive Safety culture.
• Maintain open dialogue with stakeholders related to Safety systems and lessons learned.
• Establish relationships with the client to ensure customer satisfaction and future opportunities.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify workmanship against drawings and specs.
• Review change orders, monthly reports, and project proposals for completeness and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare or assist in documentation for design and construction and maintain information in project management software.
• Deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations to audiences including project team and stakeholders.
