Job summary

Vylor, Inc. seeks a Safety Coordinator to lead environmental, health, safety, and security programs at the Johnston, IA production site. You will partner with site leadership, employees, contractors, and visitors to build a robust safety culture, manage incidents, and ensure training and compliance documentation are up to date.

You will drive continuous improvement, coordinate with regional EHS partners, and help manage the site’s annual safety budget to keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing/operations, agriculture, training, or safety related experience.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence others without direct authority and coach teams.
• Willing to work outdoors/indoors, with overtime during peaks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety, health, environmental, and security programs at the Johnston site.
• Work with site leaders, contractors, and visitors to foster a safe culture.
• Identify and address unsafe acts and conditions via walks, audits, and risk assessments.
• Manage EHS incidents with proper reporting, investigation, and follow up.
• Maintain EHS records, permits, and compliance documentation; support budget.
