Job summary

Ferrara in Itasca, IL is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the site’s safety, environmental, and security programs. This in-person role supports production schedules and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, 5–10 years of manufacturing EHS experience, knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, and an EHS certification. Travel is expected at 5–10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in safety and environmental management within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA and related regulatory compliance.
• Industry certifications such as CSHO, CSP, CHMM are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and support to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and standards.
• Manage, coach, and develop EHS Specialists; serve as a subject matter expert for OSHA PSM and EPA RMP programs.
• Develop and implement EHS programs that promote safe work practices and metrics improvement.
• Lead and ensure thorough investigation of all incidents with site leadership and CAPA development.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to review PRP and MOC processes for safety compliance.
• Oversee regulatory compliance audits/inspections and incident reporting analyses to identify trends.
