Job summary

Alston Construction Company is seeking an EHS Manager to oversee the Safety Program on Tulsa projects. You will train site personnel, enforce OSHA-compliant policies, and partner with supervision to protect workers and project outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in construction safety management, and certification in OSHA 30-hour, with First Aid/CPR/AED. Travel required; on-site in Tulsa, OK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management with a general contractor.
• OSHA 30-hour Certification. OSHA 500 preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
• CSP, CHST or other safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote Alston Construction’s strong safety culture, both internally and externally.
• Use discretion and independent judgment to perform daily duties and resolve issues.
• Implement site safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
• Improve the Safety Program, Site Specific Safety and Health Plan, and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Remain current on federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Identify training needs and develop safety awareness initiatives.
• Manage and conduct site safety orientations for new workers.
• Coordinate and conduct EHS training and manage training resources.
• Design metrics to monitor safety initiatives and program effectiveness.
• Provide guidance to Superintendents and Project Managers on safety policies and subcontractor compliance.
• Create and maintain first aid supplies and emergency/crisis plans.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and report findings with corrective actions.
• Ensure safety documentation at sites is properly processed and maintained.
• Attend Safe Start meetings with subcontractors.
• Review Site Specific Safety and Health Plans and ensure copies are on site.
• Maintain and review Safety Data Sheets from subcontractors.
• Coordinate weekly All Hands Safety Meetings and track subcontractor participation.
• Ensure Job Hazard Analyses are completed and signed by subcontractor workers.
