Job summary

Alston Construction seeks an EHS Coordinator to lead the safety program across assigned projects, ensuring every employee is trained and compliant with OSHA standards. You will promote a strong safety culture, perform inspections, and manage incident investigations to protect company interests.

You will collaborate with the Corporate Safety Director and project teams to continuously improve safety procedures, records, and subcontractor compliance while supporting safety training initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety/construction.
• OSHA 30-hour certification (OSHA 500 preferred).
• Experience in construction safety, environmental compliance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote Alston Construction’s safety culture.
• Plan, develop, and implement safety policies and procedures compliant with OSHA and local regulations.
• Conduct safety training and monitor onboarding safety orientations within 5 business days.
• Monitor safety training per matrix and coordinate with staff to ensure effective delivery.
• Design metrics to monitor progress and effectiveness of safety initiatives and actions.
• Provide guidance to Superintendents and Project Managers on safety compliance.
• Coordinate and evaluate subcontractors’ safety records through SPERS process.
• Review Site Specific Safety and Health Plans and SDSs; ensure on-site copies exist.
