Exemplar Global in Richmond, VA, seeks an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to provide on-site safety leadership for a construction project in an electrical substation environment.

The role centers on OSHA compliance, daily field oversight, and coordination with project leadership, trades, and client representatives to promote a proactive safety culture around energized equipment.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of construction EHS experience.
• Experience supporting commercial, industrial, utility, or similar high-risk construction projects.
• Ability to work independently as the primary on-site safety representative.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements and recognized industry practices.
• Experience overseeing multiple trades and high-risk field activities.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily on-site EHS leadership for construction activities.
• Serve as the primary site safety representative.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, client, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and field observations.
• Lead or participate in daily JHAs and PTP meetings.
• Monitor high-risk activities around energized electrical equipment.
• Verify workers use PPE and protective equipment.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Maintain required safety documentation and reports.
• Assist with site-access responsibilities and security.
