Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking a field technician to install, maintain, and repair drones and docking stations at customer sites in the Lubbock area. This role involves diagnosing faults, replacing components, and updating firmware while documenting work and ensuring safe lithium battery handling. Travel to customer sites is required.

You will train online and in-person, earning industry certifications; the first job is paid, and remote expert support is available during early assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronics repair, RC or FPV drone building, avionics, low-voltage systems, or similar hands-on work.
• Patience with small parts and precise repairs.
• A methodical approach to finding faults.
• Accurate records and clear communication.
• Comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Availability to drive, work outdoors, and travel overnight occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in drones, docks, and charging systems.
• Repair or replace propellers, motors, electronic speed controllers, batteries, gimbals, and cameras.
• Update firmware and calibrate equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Follow lithium battery procedures for storage, charging, transport, and disposal.
• Record faults, repairs, replacement parts, and follow-up work.
• Keep spare parts available and report recurring problems.
• Explain repairs and next steps to customers.
