Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking a field-based technician to install, repair, and maintain drones and their docking/charging stations at customer sites in Austin, TX. This contract role requires hands-on electronics repair, the ability to work outdoors, and occasional overnight travel.

You will complete online training through our Academy, followed by in-person training and industry certifications. The first job is paid, with remote specialist support available during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronics repair or drone hardware.
• Comfort working independently at customer sites.
• Ability to drive and travel overnight.
• Detail-oriented with precise repair ability.
• Accurate records and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in drones, docks, and charging systems.
• Repair or replace propellers, motors, electronic speed controllers, batteries, gimbals, and cameras.
• Update firmware and calibrate equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Explain repairs and next steps to customers.
• Record faults, repairs, replacement parts, and follow-up work.
• Keep spare parts available and report recurring problems.
