Job summary

Service Robot Co. in Fort Worth, Texas, seeks a Drone Field Technician to install, maintain, and repair drones and docking stations at customer sites. This field role involves travel and outdoor work, with compensation paid per work order.

You will diagnose faults, replace components, update firmware, perform regular maintenance, and maintain thorough service records. Training is provided online and in-person, with industry certifications funded for selected candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronics repair, RC or FPV drone building, avionics, low-voltage systems, or similar hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in drones, docks, and charging systems.
• Repair or replace propellers, motors, electronic speed controllers, batteries, gimbals, and cameras.
• Update firmware and calibrate equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Follow lithium battery procedures for storage, charging, transport, and disposal.
• Record faults, repairs, replacement parts, and follow-up work.
• Keep spare parts available and report recurring problems.
• Explain repairs and next steps to customers.
