Job summary

SimVentions seeks a Test Engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, craft test plans tied to requirements, and perform both manual and automated testing across multiple levels.

The role requires 2+ years in software/testing, Linux proficiency, strong requirements traceability, and excellent communication for customer interactions and occasional technical briefings. U.S. citizenship and on-site work at NSWCDD are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code and testing in Linux environments.
• Proven ability to trace requirements to test cases and manage test artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
