Job summary

SimVentions seeks an experienced System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based solutions within a government software hosting facility. This full-time, on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start.

Candidates should have 3+ years of relevant experience, RMF/STIG/ACAS scanning familiarity, and a Windows or Linux certification.

Qualifications

• At least three years experience performing many of the responsibilities listed in this job requisition.
• Experience with RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• A certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting facilities.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform maintenance and configuration changes on hosts, servers, and IT equipment.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions and deploy software applications.
• Triage technical issues and document configurations and responses.
