Rollout Systems in Patuxent River area seeks a Linux Systems Administrator to support a warfighter-focused government program onsite. The role covers engineering solutions, hardware and virtualization, and daily maintenance of servers, workstations, and networks.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience providing engineering solutions for government software hosting facility.
• Experience maintaining physical and virtual hosts and performing installations, configurations and troubleshooting.
• Experience maintaining documentation, backups, DR plans, and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain hardware infrastructure including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on servers/workstations.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation for knowledge base and configurations.
• Provide customer support and best-practices guidance.
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance.
• Monitor and report security events; participate in Agile planning.
• Provide networking support for on-premises infrastructure.
• Understand Linux and virtual networking.
