Job summary

Computer World Services seeks an Implementations Network Engineer to oversee installation, configuration, testing, monitoring and activation of DoD networks.

You will coordinate with customers, solution architects and vendor SMEs, manage service orders, TSOs, and ensure DISA standards are met on site at a government facility. Requires DoD SECRET with ability to obtain Top Secret, along with IAT Level 2 certs.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 4–8 years of experience, or MS with 2–6 years.
• Knowledge of network hardware specs, config and testing.
• Experience configuring, activating, testing and analyzing networks.
• Experience with BGP, ISIS, VLANs and circuit configurations.
• Experience with DoD DISA processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, configuration, testing, monitoring and activation of networks per DISA standards.
• Coordinate IT&A, reporting, and data input for new service activations.
• Work with customers, architects and vendor SMEs to implement changes and resolve issues.
• Manage Service Orders and Change Management procedures.
• Ensure TSOs are in place for scheduled network changes.
• Initiate network device configurations using configlets.
• Analyze DISN data to validate customer requirements.
• Design and implement solutions through testing and documentation of configurations.
• Coordinate circuit activations with vendors for end-to-end connectivity.
• Monitor networks to assess impact of changes on traffic.
• Engage with DISA project managers to resolve unclear requirements.
• Reach out to stakeholders to secure necessary approvals.
