Job summary

Catawbacorps is seeking a Reviewer to work on-site at a government facility in Bethesda, Maryland, supporting the NRC Declassification Program. Training will be provided for candidates new to the NRC declassification program. Active DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance is required.

The role emphasizes analytical skills, research and historical/document analysis, and proper handling of classified materials in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance or DOE Q clearance.
• Minimum of three years of reviewing experience related to Declassification and EO 13526.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task, work in a team, and adapt to processes.

Responsibilities

• The Reviewer will be trained to conduct declassification reviews for NRC, analyzing unclassified and classified documents to determine actions.
• Familiarity with classified document markings and symbols; apply knowledge to documents.
• Use analytical skills to determine declassification, referrals, or exemptions.
• Identify documents that may contain nuclear weapons or intelligence information for further review.
• Handle boxes and documents (15–25 lbs) while preserving content integrity.
