Precision Steel Services in Toledo, OH is seeking a Data Specialist to convert customer requests, drawings and orders into precise ERP entries. You will translate raw information into actionable instructions for estimating, production and operations, while maintaining accuracy and speed on-site.

The role requires reviewing documents, managing multiple priorities and collaborating with estimating, sales, and production teams.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in on-site data entry, order processing, or similar office role.
• Experience reviewing customer requests, POs, drawings, and specs.
• Experience coordinating with multiple teams (estimating, sales, operations).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Comfort with computers, email, and standard office software.
• Ability to learn ERP systems and internal processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the on-site schedule.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requests, purchase orders, emails, drawings, and supporting documents.
• Enter quote or order information accurately into the ERP system.
• Capture material requirements, dimensions, quantities, processing instructions, and customer expectations.
• Translate customer information into clear instructions for estimating, production, and operations.
• Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information before errors occur.
• Ask questions and escalate issues rather than guesswork.
• Process revisions accurately and prevent outdated information from moving forward.
• Review work for completeness and accuracy before releasing it.
• Manage multiple requests, deadlines, and priorities throughout the day.
• Maintain organized electronic records, folders, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with estimating, sales, operations, production, and teammates.
• Help teammates when workloads spike or priorities change.
• Support process improvements to reduce errors and rework.
