Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a freelance on-site role in Charleston, SC. You will perform hardware installations, cabling, server racking, and issue resolution to support mission-critical data center infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, strong English communication, and the ability to work on-site with lifting and transport. DCIM and ticketing familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Professional communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
