Job summary

Service Robot Co. in Austin, Texas is looking for a hands-on technician to install and maintain hardware inside data centers. You will work on-site with remote engineers to install servers, run cables, and replace failed parts.

Training is provided through the Service Robot Co. Academy, with industry certifications needed for the role. The first assignment is paid, and you will follow diagrams and maintenance schedules while ensuring site security protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, cabling, AV, electronics repair, or building computers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and keep accurate records.
• Availability for overnight maintenance work.
• Ability to pass a background check and site security screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, cable, and label servers, switches, and storage equipment.
• Replace drives, memory, power supplies, fans, and optical components.
• Test repairs before closing work tickets.
• Run, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling.
• Follow diagrams, work instructions, and approved maintenance schedules.
• Give remote engineers clear updates on what you see and do.
• Record equipment serial numbers, connections, and locations.
• Follow site security procedures when removing or disposing of hardware.
