Job summary

EdgeConneX seeks a Chief Engineer – Data Center Operations for the New Albany, Ohio facility. Lead site management, maintenance, client reporting, staff availability, and incident coordination to uphold power and cooling commitments for a high-demand data center.

You will work with the Regional Director to manage PM programs, CMMS data, and safety procedures, while overseeing vendor relationships and on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate, manage, and maintain critical electrical, mechanical, and fire and life safety systems.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex project documents (AutoCAD, Visio, PDFs).
• Vendor management and guiding for end goals.
• Experience with ticketing systems for work orders, scheduling, and inventory.
• Proficient in automated building management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and execute standard Method of Procedures (MOP).
• Support Preventative Maintenance program implementation for the site.
• Work with CMMS and monitoring systems to ensure current data for critical components.
• Identify efficiency and utilization improvements (PUE).
• Supervise and evaluate contract technical labor teams.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE usage compliance.
• Maintain communications with tenants and vendors.
• Assist in updating as-built drawings.
• Ensure compliance with codes and EdgeConneX directives for building operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for evening/weekend incidents.
• Provide 1-hour response time for high priority incidents.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns.
