Job summary

EdgeConneX is seeking an Area Security Manager, Ohio, to lead day-to-day physical security across Ohio data center campuses. The role requires coordinating contract guard services, screening operations, and incident response with Operations, Facilities, IT, and customer security teams.

You will oversee post orders, audits, and vendor performance for high‑intensity sites, with up to 10% travel within North America. Strong communication and governance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of corporate security or equivalent experience with security programs.
• 2+ years supporting critical infrastructure (data centers, utilities, telecom).
• Experience managing outsourced security vendors, SLAs, audits, and QBRs.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS or similar certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract guard vendors: post performance and adherence to post orders.
• Lead screening operations, training, throughput, and compliance reporting.
• Conduct site audits and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Manage vendor escalations and staffing quality.
• Support incident triage, documentation, and follow‑up.
• Assist with rollout of security standards across campuses.
• Liaise with customer security teams on reporting and issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams and integrators for security systems.
