Title: Mechanical Operations Engineer (Data Center)
The Mechanical Operations Engineer will support the local site team on multiple daily (technical) duties in the data center. This position reports to the Site Chief Engineer and will be dedicated to the New Albany, Ohio campus. The expectation is to be onsite daily.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of critical infrastructure and building mechanical systems
- Operate critical infrastructure, including CRAHs, CRACs, chillers, humidification systems, de-humidification systems, RTUs, CDUs, and water purification systems
- Additional critical infrastructure supported include MV switchboards, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, and RPPs
- Identify and resolve issues through RCA and remediation processes
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and corrective activities
- Coordinate and oversee customer requests
- Perform system analysis and reporting
- Complete self-performing PM/CM activities in accordance with ECX standards
- Execute MOPs
- Supervise on-site subcontractors
- Support the regional team as required in support of customer reporting and QBRs
- Ensure consistent and accurate updates to tickets, work orders, and associated communications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong communications, both written and verbal, in leading teams and coordinating with peers and other disciplines on driving projects/issues to closure
- Detailed knowledge of critical infrastructure, including CRAHs, CRACs, chillers, humidification systems, de-humidification systems, RTUs, CDUs, and water purification systems
- Ability to read and assess single line diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering plans
- Extensive experience carrying out MOP/EOP/SOP
- Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables
- Superb ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities
- Superb ability to meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance/input from peers
- Strong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups; can cover all gamut of tasks required to 'getting a job done'

Experience/Education
- 3+ years of experience managing data center mechanical infrastructure - CRAH, CRAC, chillers, etc.
- Foundation in operating data center electrical equipment, i.e. transformers, generators, UPS, etc.
- Strong, demonstrated interest in mission-critical infrastructure and AI technology
- Understanding and experience/comfort in a high-demanding 24x7 environment
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal skills
- Candidates with experience in hyperscale Data Center or Construction industry environments are strongly encouraged to apply
