Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking a seasoned construction operations leader for Holly Ridge, LA. You will oversee safety, field operations, and crew development on large-scale data center projects, coordinating with PMs and procurement to keep schedules and budgets on track.

You will lead 100+ field technicians, ensure ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS compliance, and drive continuous improvement in performance and quality.

Qualifications

8+ years of supervisory experience on largescale structured cabling or data center construction projects.
Experience managing large dispersed field teams (100+).
Data center new build or retrofit experience strongly preferred.
Experience working with union telecom crews and labor compliance preferred.
Data Center Connectivity, ISP, and Fiber construction experience.

Responsibilities

Lead safety culture and enforce safety standards on site.
Lead jobsite safety standards, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Support incident investigations, RCAs, and data driven lessons learned.
Develop and implement project plans, installation strategies, and site logistics.
Maintain lookahead schedules, labor forecasts, and daily progress tracking.
Coordinate with Project Management and Procurement to ensure timely delivery and staging of materials.
Oversee daily field operations to meet production goals, budget, and schedule milestones.
Mentor and develop large field teams (100+), including hiring and performance reviews.
Act as onsite customer liaison, participating in meetings and site walks.
