Job summary

U-Haul is seeking friendly, motivated people for the position of Customer Service Representative at our Bangor, Maine location. You will be the face of U-Haul’s exceptional service, assisting customers, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and using U‑Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.

The role includes training opportunities through U‑Haul University, with on‑the‑job education and potential certifications such as propane and forklift operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U‑Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U‑Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U‑Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and forklift operation (certifications offered on employment).
• Participate in ongoing U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University.
