Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an On-Site CSA Engineer for a project near Baton Rouge, LA. The role acts as the on-site representative for civil, structural, and architectural disciplines through construction, coordinating with Owner, Contractor and design teams to resolve field issues and ensure alignment with contract documents.

The successful candidate will have a Civil/Structural/Construction background with CSA system knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a busy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects; or 5+ years supporting hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for CSA design and construction matters.
• Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, compliance, and constructability.
• Coordinate civil, structural, and architectural design issues between field teams and design consultants.
• Evaluate field conditions and facilitate timely design clarifications and revisions.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with design intent and project specifications.
• Identify and communicate observed deficiencies, deviations, and quality concerns.
• Participate in punch walks, inspections, testing activities, and project turnover efforts.
• Provide weekly site observation reports documenting progress, risks, issues, and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination efforts, mockups, and site validation activities.
