Job summary

Jacobs has an immediate opportunity for an On-Site CSA Engineer at our project near Baton Rouge, LA.

The CSA On-Site Engineer serves as the Professional's on-site representative for civil, structural, and architectural disciplines throughout the construction phase, coordinating between Owner, Contractor, and design teams while supporting construction activities and resolving design issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects; or 5+ years supporting hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for CSA-related design and construction matters.
• Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, compliance, and constructability.
• Coordinate civil, structural, and architectural design issues between field teams and design consultants.
• Evaluate field conditions and facilitate timely design clarifications and revisions.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with design intent and project specifications.
• Provide weekly site observation reports documenting progress, risks, issues, and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination efforts, mockups, and site validation activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner representatives to resolve construction issues.
