Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an On-Site CSA Engineer for a major project near Baton Rouge, LA. You will act as the on-site representative for civil, structural, and architectural disciplines during construction, coordinating between Owner, Contractor, and design teams.

The role requires a deep understanding of CSA systems, field condition reviews, and the ability to resolve design issues while ensuring alignment with Contract Documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in large-scale construction projects (commercial/industrial/data center) or 5+ years for hyperscale centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA systems and construction methods.
• Experience reviewing drawings and construction docs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site contact for CSA design and construction matters.
• Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and constructability.
• Coordinate design issues across field teams and consultants.
• Review field conditions and facilitate design clarifications.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and inquiries.
• Ensure conformance with design intent and project specs.
• Identify deficiencies and communicate risks and issues.
• Participate in inspections and project turnover activities.
• Provide weekly site observation reports with risks and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination, mockups, and site validation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner reps to resolve issues.
• Proactively identify project risks and mitigation plans.
