Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an On-Site CSA Engineer for a project near Baton Rouge, LA. The role serves as the on-site representative for civil, structural, and architectural disciplines through construction, coordinating with Owner, Contractor, and design teams.

You will monitor field conditions, resolve design issues, and ensure work aligns with contract documents while supporting BIM, QA/QC, and turn-over activities. A strong background in CSA systems and field reviews is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects; or 5+ years supporting hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for CSA design and construction.
• Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and constructability.
• Coordinate CSA design issues between field teams and design consultants.
• Review field conditions and facilitate timely design clarifications.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with design and specs.
• Identify deficiencies, deviations, and quality concerns.
• Provide weekly site observation reports with risks and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination, mockups, and site validation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and Owner representatives to resolve issues.
• Identify project risks and support mitigation planning.
• Establish clear communication and escalation among stakeholders.
