Job summary

JLL is seeking a Critical Environment Operations Engineer to safeguard essential business operations in our Zebulon, NC facilities. You will maintain HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, optimize energy use, and minimize downtime while expanding knowledge across disciplines.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in building engineering, experience with data centers or critical environments, and are comfortable working on-site with a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technical experience in building engineering with strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and maintenance.
• Proficient with Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute critical environment protocols and MOP processes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, CRAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Master building automation, fire/life safety, and related equipment.
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions daily.
• Complete hazard assessments and comply with safety procedures.
• Identify safety hazards and maintain codes compliance.
• Use CMMS for work documentation and escalate issues as needed.
