Job summary

Southwest Industrial Rigging in the Greater Phoenix Area is hiring a full-time Crane Operator to safely operate cranes and related lifting equipment on construction and industrial sites. You will set up cranes, perform inspections, position loads per site plans, and work closely with rigging personnel and site supervisors, while maintaining logs and upholding OSHA standards.

This on-site role requires outdoor work, strong safety awareness, and the ability to communicate clearly using hand

Qualifications

• Proficiency in lifting operations and safe load handling per site requirements.
• Experience operating heavy equipment with crane focus in construction or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging, slings, shackles.
• Ability to inspect cranes and lifting gear for safety and maintenance.
• Understanding of crane types, load charts, and operational limits.
• Certifications for crane operation (e.g., NCCCO) and a valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, situational awareness, OSHA and local regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather; collaborate with site teams.
• Experience in Greater Phoenix Area beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate cranes and heavy lifting equipment to move materials on construction sites.
• Set up cranes and perform pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Position loads according to site plans and communicate with rigging personnel and site supervisors.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, report mechanical issues, and complete logs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and load charts.
