Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in lifting operations and safe load handling per site requirements.

• Ability to inspect cranes and lifting gear for safety and maintenance.
• Understanding of crane types, load charts, and operational limits.
• Certifications for crane operation (e.g., NCCCO) and a valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, situational awareness, OSHA and local regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather; collaborate with site teams.
• Experience in Greater Phoenix Area beneficial.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Crane Operator role based in the Greater Phoenix Area. The Crane Operator will safely operate cranes and related heavy lifting equipment to move materials and components on construction and industrial sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up cranes, performing pre- and post-operation inspections, positioning loads according to site plans, and following all safety regulations and load charts. The role involves working closely with rigging personnel and site supervisors to plan lifts, communicate clearly via hand signals or radio, and respond to changing site conditions. The Crane Operator will also maintain equipment cleanliness, report any mechanical issues, and complete required documentation and logs. Consistent adherence to company and regulatory safety standards is expected in all operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in lifting operations and safe load handling, including planning and executing lifts according to site requirements.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, with a focus on crane operation in construction or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging practices, and appropriate use of slings, shackles, and other lifting accessories.
• Ability to conduct thorough inspections of cranes and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
• Strong understanding of crane types and functions, load charts, and operational limits for various cranes.
• Relevant certifications or licenses for crane operation (e.g., NCCCO or equivalent), and a valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, situational awareness, and adherence to OSHA and local regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, follow instructions, and collaborate effectively with site teams.
