Job summary

Newly Weds Foods- Corporate is seeking a Corporate Purchasing Assistant to support the Purchasing team by managing supplier documentation, coordinating purchasing activities, and ensuring smooth operations across the organization.

This on-site role is based at our Chicago HQ (Bryn Mawr) location, offering exposure to supplier partnerships, procurement analytics, and cross-functional teamwork while building a career in purchasing and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with ERP, purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier and purchasing information in company systems and databases
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to collect and maintain documentation
• Organize and maintain electronic supplier records
• Coordinate supplier approval processes with cross-functional stakeholders
• Review supplier documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance
• Prepare reports and support purchasing analytics
• Assist with annual inventory projection updates
• Solicit quotes for non-inventory purchases and support vendor selection
• Create and maintain vendor records
• Process purchase orders, blanket purchase orders, and credit applications
• Support national purchasing agreements across corporate and divisional locations
• Maintain inventory levels for office, kitchen, coffee, and breakroom supplies
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Purchasing team
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
