Job summary

Hydrogen Group seeks a Construction Superintendent for utility-scale BESS projects in Denver, CO. You will lead field construction focusing on mechanical and electrical installation, QA/QC, safety, and coordination with EPC contractors.

This on-site role reports to the onsite Construction Manager and ensures work meets drawings, codes, and commissioning requirements. You will oversee field activities, drive safety, manage daily coordination among EPCs, subcontractors, and vendors, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of construction field experience on utility-scale energy projects, including at least 2 years in a superintendent or field supervisory role.
• Direct experience on BESS, solar, substation, or other utility-scale renewable construction projects preferred.
• Experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors in a field environment.
• OSHA 30 certification required or obtained within a set timeframe of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field construction activities on utility-scale BESS projects, with a focus on mechanical and electrical installation
• Provide QA/QC oversight to confirm work meets project specifications, engineering drawings, codes, and standards
• Drive safety compliance across all field activities
• Coordinate EPC contractors and manage day-to-day field execution
• Serve as the primary field representative for construction execution and quality management
• Coordinate daily activities between EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders through all phases of construction
• Ensure construction work supports commissioning requirements
• Report to and support the onsite Construction Manager
