Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Project Superintendent for a full-time, on-site role at one designated location in Alabama. You will lead safety, quality, and schedule execution, coordinating field teams, trade partners, and suppliers to deliver projects safely and on time.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety regulations, maintaining quality standards, and developing logistics and site plans while managing a multidisciplinary team and ensuring client satisfaction.

• Develop and manage project schedule, logistics, and site utilization plans.

Responsibilities

• Safety planning is included in all pre-job planning and considered foremost in daily operations.
• All project, governmental and company safety regulations and requirements shall be enforced by the PS.
• The PS, with safety managers, drives Hensel Phelps’ safety culture on the project.
• The superintendent is responsible for all quality control on the project.
• The PS works with QC staff and trade partners to ensure the highest level of quality is delivered.
• The PS is responsible for the development and timely execution of the project schedule.
• The PS collaborates with project staff and trade partners to develop, update and manage the schedule, and has overall responsibility for job planning and the development of logistics and site utilization plans.
• Jobsite equipment needs are planned and organized by the project superintendent.
• Maintenance and the safe operation of equipment, including operator certificates and permits, are the overall responsibility of the PS.
• Company-owned equipment is coordinated with the corporate equipment manager.
• Develop, coordinate and supervise all company field work personnel on the project.
• The PS sets expectations, trains and evaluates salaried personnel under their supervision, and is responsible for the hiring, development, performance and coordination of hourly field personnel.
• Maintain the Book of 14 and project control systems to accurately portray current project status and forecast projections.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the owner, architect, engineer and trade partners to ensure the highest level of quality and customer service is delivered.
