Job summary

Ground up Careers of Arizona seeks a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities in Phoenix. You will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and budget, while coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in commercial construction, a degree in construction management, and strong leadership with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in the commercial construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Familiarity with construction software and tools.
• OSHA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring they are completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and budget.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment for all personnel on the construction site.
• Schedule and coordinate construction activities, including subcontractor work, deliveries, and inspections, to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during construction, and escalated issues to project management as needed.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of daily activities, including progress reports, site conditions, and any incidents or changes.
