Job summary

Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. (IEI) is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Specialist for a major capital program with the Port Authority of NY and NJ. This field-based role focuses on ensuring safety compliance across active sites, conducting audits, and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.

You will lead incident investigations, prepare safety reports, and support a strong safety culture. Candidates should have 5+ years of construction safety experience and OSHA 30 certification;

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience on active sites.
• Valid NYC DOB Site Safety Supervisor Card (SST) and OSHA 30-Hour required.
• CHST or equivalent safety credential preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety management or construction management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, drawings, and safety plans for compliance.
• Monitor construction operations and ensure alignment with safety programs.
• Conduct site safety audits and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDNY, NYC DOB, and local regulations.
• Prepare daily safety reports with observations and corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents; perform root-cause analysis.
