Job summary

Environmental And Safety Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced construction safety manager to lead safety oversight on a live project.

This role requires a strong field presence and the ability to enforce OSHA standards and site-specific safety rules with discipline and tact. You will conduct daily site walkthroughs, identify hazards, document findings, and drive corrective actions in real time, while coordinating with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 preferred or equivalent construction safety experience.
• 5 to 7 years of construction safety management experience.
• Local to the project preferred; per diem available if not local.
• Excellent writing and computer skills; strong communication - written & verbal.
• Strong background in demolition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong field presence (90%+ of time) to monitor job site safety conditions and behaviors.
• Conduct daily site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions in real time.
• Partner with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task planning sessions.
• Observe work activities across multiple trades and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; document findings and support corrective action plans.
• Reinforce positive safety behaviors.
