Job summary

Upchurch is seeking an experienced Project Safety Coordinator to support an active construction project in Jackson, Mississippi. This on-site role promotes a strong safety culture, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with project leadership to proactively manage risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in construction safety management.
• Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures to reduce risk.
• Lead incident investigations including injuries and near misses.
• Supervise safety compliance across the project.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Prepare reports using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Deliver safety training and promote proactive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation cases with TPAs.
