Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator for an active construction project in Frederick, MD. This on-site role promotes a strong safety culture, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with project leadership to proactively manage risk.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in construction safety, incident investigation experience, and strong MS Office skills. OSHA 500 preferred. This position involves site inspections, training, and collaboration with GC/Owner safety teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction safety management.
• OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and implement preventive measures to reduce risk.
• Lead and conduct incident investigations with root cause analysis.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and coordinate with GC/Owner Rep safety teams.
• Maintain safety documentation and produce reports using MS Office.
