Job summary

Boston Housing Authority seeks a Construction Representative to monitor multi-site construction projects, ensuring conformance with construction documents and schedules. The role reports to a Senior Project Manager and works closely with project teams to support capital programs in Boston.

The position requires at least five years in construction administration, with strong communication and organizational skills; familiarity with affordable housing modernization is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in construction administration/management or Clerk of the Works/Owner's Project Representative.
• Experience in affordable housing construction and occupied building modernization preferred.
• Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit job sites and maintain broad familiarity with buildings and sites to inform capital planning.
• Review construction documents with the Design Consultant and Project Manager to monitor conformance.
• Attend weekly meetings with Contractor and Project Manager; report progress and issues.
• Verify materials meet specifications and approved submittals; document problems with photos and narratives.
• Maintain construction records including submittals, change orders, and payment applications.
