Boston Housing Authority seeks a seasoned Construction Administrator to support capital projects in affordable housing. The role focuses on administration, review of construction documents, and on-site coordination with contractors, design consultants, and residents to ensure conformance to plans and schedules.

You will attend weekly meetings, document progress, verify materials, and maintain comprehensive construction records while upholding BHA's mission and community commitments.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in comprehensive construction administration/management.
• Experience in affordable housing construction and occupied building modernization is strongly preferred.
• Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and carry out job responsibilities with minimal oversight; strong communication and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Maintains broad familiarity with BHA buildings and sites to contribute to capital planning.
• Reviews Construction Documents with the Design Phases and PM to monitor conformance.
• Assists Contractor’s superintendent in understanding the Construction Documents.
• Attends weekly job meetings with Contractor, Design Consultant and PM.
• Reports daily on construction progress and conformance; tracks issues or disputes.
• Reviews Progress Schedule for potential delays and informs PM and Design Consultant.
• Verifies work conforms to CDs; reports deviations immediately.
• Documents materials conformity to specifications and submittals.
• Maintains construction records including correspondence, submittals, and change orders.
• Acts as liaison on-site connecting staff, tenants and design teams; coordinates access to occupied apartments.
