Job summary

Davenergy Solutions is seeking a Construction Engineering Technician for on-site work with the VA Western Colorado Health Care System in Grand Junction, CO. The role involves supporting construction oversight and reporting.

You will monitor contractor performance, conduct field inspections, ensure safety and quality, and provide regular progress updates to the facility owner. A formal education in construction and several years of related experience are required or substituted by experience;

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade school graduate or equivalent
• 10 years of directly related construction experience may substitute
• Minimum 3 years as an engineering technician in facilities oversight
• OSHA 30-hour certification is desirable but not required

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation of construction progress and support quality-control tests.
• Monitor means/methods, safety and quality requirements for contractors.
• Perform field inspections to review construction work and compliance with designs and safety.
• Identify and track deficiencies and deviations and help mitigate.
• Prepare progress reports and support management in issue resolution.
