Planate Management Group seeks a Construction Engineering Technician to support VA Hospital Grand Junction, CO on-site. You will monitor construction progress, review quality, safety, and contract compliance, and report key issues to management.

Qualifications include an associate degree or trade school graduate, with 3 years in engineering tech roles and ability to manage documents and reports. OSHA 30 is preferred, and healthcare facility experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent trade school/apprenticeship in construction.
• Substitute with 10 years of directly related experience allowed.
• Minimum 3 years as an engineering technician with inspection/oversight.
• Ability to organize documents, develop progress reports, track issues.
• Understanding of local codes, safety requirements, and QC processes.
• Experience tracking quality/safety issue resolutions.
• Familiarity with RFI, change orders, submittals logs.
• Field knowledge of safety, scheduling, and cost control is desired.
• Healthcare facility experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction docs; OSHA 30 desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation of construction progress and support QC tests.
• Assist construction manager with client action recommendations.
• Monitor means/methods and contract compliance for safety/quality.
• Perform field inspections to review work against designs and UFCs.
• Identify deficiencies, track deviations, and assist mitigation.
• Execute other duties as assigned to support project goals.
