Planate Management Group is seeking Construction Engineering Technicians to support VA Hospital Grand Junction under contract with Davenergy. On-site in Grand Junction, CO, you will monitor contractor progress, ensure safety compliance, and report on quality issues to management.

Ideal candidates have 3 years in engineering technician roles, an associate degree or equivalent trade school, and the ability to read construction documents.

Qualificações

• Associate degree or accredited trade school completion.
• Alternative: 10 years of directly related experience.
• 3 years of engineering technician experience in facilities.
• Ability to organize project documents and develop progress reports.
• Understanding of local codes, safety requirements, and QC processes.
• Experience tracking resolution of safety/quality issues with management.
• Familiarity with RFI, change orders, submittals logs, etc.
• Field knowledge of safety, scheduling, and cost control is desired.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure documentation of construction progress and supports the construction manager in the execution of quality-control tests and inspections.
• Supports the Construction Superintendent in advising the client on required management actions.
• Monitors the means and methods of the construction contractor, monitoring compliance with contractual, safety, and quality requirements.
• Perform field inspections to review the construction work and review compliance with the design, UFC’s and safety requirements.
• Identifies and tracks deficiencies and deviations from plans; works with the construction team to mitigate and resolve.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
