Job summary

McCulloh Consulting is seeking a Construction Project Manager for an on-site role in Florence, AL. You will lead commercial construction projects from planning through closeout, coordinating clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of commercial construction experience, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and proficiency in reading blueprints and project documents.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of commercial construction experience or an equivalent mix of education and field experience.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost projections, billings, and closeout.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, terminology, equipment, and project flow.
• Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, plan sets, and project documents.
• Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and internal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Serve as main point of contact for clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and internal project teams.
• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, plan sets, and project documents.
• Build and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Estimate construction management and self-perform work items.
• Review, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare project proposals, clarifications, alternates, and value engineering options.
• Support owner contract negotiations with senior project leadership.
• Review and process subcontracts, subcontractor change orders, RFIs, submittals, change proposals, and owner change orders.
• Lead onsite meetings and prepare clear project meeting minutes.
• Identify project risks, field issues, delays, cost impacts, and safety concerns early.
• Prepare client billings, review subcontractor payments, and submit cost projections.
• Support quality control, punch list, and project closeout.
• Supervise, train, assign work, and support Project Engineers.
