Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Project Manager II to serve as the on-site leader responsible for the direction, completion, and financial outcome of a medium-sized construction project. This role is on the job site every day and requires coordination with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver quality results.

You will lead scheduling, cost control, safety, and quality plans while building a high-performing team and maintaining positive client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to project safety planning and site leadership
• Manages project controls, cost forecasting, and contract requirements
• Develops and executes change management processes and forecasts
• Creates and maintains quality and closeout plans aligned with contract documents
• Leads and mentors project team, coordinating with subs and engineers
• Trains direct reports on processes and daily tasks
• Supports subcontracting strategy and contract/purchase order administration
• Participates in insurance/bond enrollment and trade contractor compliance
• Assists in estimating select bid packages and GMP preparation
• Performs constructability and coordination reviews
• Develops CPM schedule and monthly updates
• Collaborates with business development to align with sales strategies
