Job summary

The Christman Company in Oklahoma City is seeking a Project Engineer for large-scale commercial construction projects. You will join the project team on site, producing and organizing documents, coordinating with clients and architects, and supporting subcontractor workflows to keep projects on schedule.

This full-time position requires a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of construction experience, including internships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Minimum one year of construction industry experience; internships count.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Produce and organize project documents per Christman standards and risk management.
• Prepare project documents for close-out, turnover, and archiving to ensure on-schedule delivery and include MSDS and quality control plans.
• Plan, communicate, and process close-out documents of all subcontracts as work concludes.
• Summarize important discussions and decisions from meetings with the project team, owner, and subcontractors.
• Partner with client and architect to establish punch-list contents.
• Assist Project Manager with identifying inspections and creating inspection logs.
• Update contract drawings to reflect changes and ensure contractor documents are current.
• Organize and prioritize submittal requirements and review shop drawings for contract-compliance.
• Support the Project Superintendent with daily reports and progress photos.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
