Job summary

Overwatch Construction Management is seeking a full-time, on-site Project Engineer near Stockton, CA. The role focuses on providing on-site technical and administrative support to the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities include document control, change orders, closeout, and audit preparation, while collaborating closely with the PM for site conditions verification and project file organization.

Qualifications

• 3-6+/- years of project engineer experience, including major capital projects including commercial buildings, including laboratories, hospitals, or other building projects of a technical nature.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques and materials.
• Proficient in construction management software, such as Procore or Primavera P6.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical and administrative support to the Project Manager and Superintendent
• Responsible for project document control, i.e. RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.
• Organize and maintain project files
• Assist with change order management. The PE shall be able to independently review change order requests for merit and fair pricing, and prepare change orders for processing.
• Manage the closeout and turn over process.
• Assist Project Manager to prepare project files for audit at project completion.
• Site conditions verification and support as needed.
