Job summary

Overwatch Construction Management in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Project Engineer to support field and office teams from inception to completion. You will provide on-site technical and administrative support and help manage project files and change orders to ensure smooth delivery.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in construction management or related work, a relevant bachelor's degree, and proficiency with Procore or Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in construction management or related roles.
• Experience supporting large capital construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques and materials.
• Proficient with Procore or Primavera P6.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Ability to obtain project-required security credentials and background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical and administrative support to the construction manager.
• Manage project document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, etc.).
• Organize and maintain project files.
• Assist CM with change order management and prepare change orders for processing.
• Manage the closeout and turnover process.
• Assist CM to prepare project files for audit at project completion.
• Site conditions verification and support as needed.

Job description

Overwatch Construction Management is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team. As a leading project and construction management firm, Overwatch is committed to providing exceptional services and delivering high-quality projects for our clients. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of various construction projects, from inception to completion.

The Project Engineer start date is 1/1/2027. The applicant must be available to be on site in Chattanooga, TN.

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical and administrative support to the construction manager.
• Responsible for project document control, i.e. RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, etc.
• Organize and maintain project files
• Assist CM with change order management. The PE shall be able to independently review change order requests for merit and fair pricing, and prepare change orders for processing.
• Manage the closeout and turn over process.
• Assist CM to prepare project files for audit at project completion.
• Site conditions verification and support as needed.

• Experience supporting large capital construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials
• Proficient in construction management software, such as Procore or Primavera P6
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
