Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Columbus, OH is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist Construction Managers and Superintendents in planning resources, timelines, and budgets for multiple projects. You will support schedule coordination, materials tracking, and administrative duties to keep projects on track and within budget.

Responsibilities include client liaison, risk assessment, monthly pay applications, and cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred.
• 0-5+ years’ experience in construction related position.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to function as part of a high-performance team.
• Excellent working knowledge of construction methods, facilities operations and building systems.
• Familiarity with strategic planning.
• Ability to work collaboratively in mobile work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
• Materials management including submittals, shop drawings, tracking/expediting material deliveries.
• Assist in development and updates to the project schedule; establish completion timeframes.
• Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
• Prepare monthly Owner Pay Applications and assist in budget preparation.
• Assist with monthly margin analysis and risk/opportunity analysis.
• Monitor project progress and handle issues; communicate status to all participants.
• Develop, manage, and maintain cost controls and labor recaps with PM/PM Superintendent.
• Process, estimate and negotiate change orders with owner and subcontractors.
