Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Project Coordinator to work closely with Construction Managers and Superintendents to develop plans, manage resources and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. You will handle scheduling, documentation, and financial queries while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires 0–5+ years in construction, a valid driver’s license, and strong MS Office/SharePoint skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred.
• 0-5+ years’ experience in construction-related position.
• Professional accreditations desirable.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to function as part of a high-performance team.
• Excellent working knowledge of construction methods, facilities operations and building systems.
• Familiarity with strategic planning; ability to work collaboratively in mobile work environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is integrated into project planning and execution.
• Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
• Materials management including submittals, shop drawings, tracking/expediting material deliveries.
• Assist in development and updates to the project schedule; compartmentalize projects into manageable portions and establish completion timeframes.
• Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
• Ensure clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
• Preparation of monthly Owner Pay Applications.
• Assist in budget preparation and margin analysis.
• Analyze risks and opportunities; monitor project progress and change orders.
